Reading levels are a way to determine how well your child reads. Once their level or reading ability is known, books they can successfully read and understand may be chosen.

Most library books are categorized into levels of difficulty. There are several leveled reading systems used in schools across the country.

One of the most common book leveled reading system is the Fountas & Pinnell Levels (F & P).

Book levels can be found on the back of some books.
